General FAQ

Q: Is this software secure?

A: This app is powered by Google Firebase for user authentication and data storage. For payment services, we use Stripe's secure third party payment API which is an industry leader.

Q: Where is this service available?

A: Central Okanagan (but there are future plans of expansion into other regions).

Home Owner FAQ

Q: How do I post a job?

A: Create a profile > Click “Create New Job” > Enter the details of your job > Click Checkout. At this point a service provider will be able to find and accept your job.

Q: How do I know when my job is accepted?

A: You will be notified via email.

Q: How is the price calculated?

A: Price is calculated based on market data and your type of lawn (calculated when you enter the details of your job).

Q: When will payment be processed?

A: As soon as the service is provided, we will process your credit card.

Q: A service provider accepted my job but never showed up to complete the job. What should I do?

A: Please reach out to our support team and we will take care of the issue as soon as possible.

Q: I live in a remote location, can I still find a service provider?

A: Yes, however there will be a remote location surcharge to compensate the service provider for their driving time.

Q: Can anyone in the public find my home if I post a job?

A: No, you need to be a verified service provider to be able to view homes who have posted jobs.

Service Provider FAQ

Q: How do I accept a job?

A: Create a profile > Ensure “Available” is clicked > Select the job you would like to accept > Click “Offer to Work”. The home owner will be notified and after they accept your offer, you can complete the job.

Q: I showed up to a job and the lawn is significantly different than described, what should I do?

A: Ensure you take pictures of the lawn, we suggest trying to discuss with the homeowner, if this is not possible please reach out to our support team and we will take care of the issue as soon as possible.

Q: What if I don’t have a lawn mower?

A: We suggest that you use your own lawn mower. In the future there may be an option to lease lawn mowers directly from LiveScaper.
